Accredited Steel Testing Lab
In order to give our customers peace of mind, knowing they are getting the highest possible quality for all of their steel needs, we provide a third-party accredited steel testing lab on-site. Through this lab, we can perform four different tests to ensure that the steel we are supplying to you meets your expectations.
Brinell Sun-Tec (Hardness Test Method) – Using a specialized instrument, tests the hardness of the steel through the use of force to measure the size of the indentation measured against the force applied.
Double Olsen (Ductility Test) – This is another strength test in which tensile stress is applied to the steel to determine its breaking point. This is crucial for the manufacturing industry to verify that the steel you are getting is strong enough for your needs.
Instron (YTE Results) – In this steel test, the elongation of the steel is measured to determine how long the steel can extend before it splits. This test gives you a good measure of how strong the metal is.
SPECTROMAXx (Metal Analyzer) – ARL Fisons 3460 AES is a special device used to measure emissions. This test will determine the composition of the steel to ensure that it meets the industry standards for the type of metal you need.
